New Year, New You…I Mean, New Books

Another new year has arrived, and it’s starting out to be a great one! The last few months have been busy with family, holidays, and new releases. I had a great time seeing my family for Thanksgiving and Christmas. In between the two holidays, I did a LOT of knitting and crocheting. I gave my family hats, scarves, and wrist warmers for Christmas. It was a ton of work, but it was totally worth it. 🙂

Now it’s time to get back into the swing of writing, and that includes catching up on this blog. Since my last post, I’ve had an anthology release along with four other authors, and my most recent novella became an audiobook! I’m so excited about both. Now for the fun part—giving you the details. 😉

Second Chances: A Love Anothology is a collection of five sweet romances by two American authors (Patricia Kiyono and me) and three South African authors (Kathy Bosman, Pravina Maharaj, and Leenna Naidoo). As a group, we decided to donate all proceeds from the anthology to Hope in Christ Children’s Home in Newcastle, South Africa. They do wonderful work caring for children in need and working to reunite them with their families when possible.

Second Chances A Love Anthology cover artAnthology Description:

When a couple falls in love, sometimes their relationship doesn’t work out and they part ways. One day they may meet up again. The sparks fly. The hurtful memories rise to the surface. Is it possible for them to heal the rift between them and start all over again? Can they have a second chance at love? Or is it too late? Find out in this feel-good anthology of five unique, sweet romances. All proceeds go to charity: HIC Children’s Home, Newcastle, South Africa.

Blurb for Escaping the Past (my contribution to the anthology):

When Felicia Coronado’s soon-to-be ex-husband kidnaps her daughter on a remote mountain road, she must rely on the assistance of a group of soldiers in the area for a training exercise. She’s stunned to discover the soldier in charge is the high school sweetheart she never thought she would see again. Lieutenant Mark Benson never stopped loving Felicia, even after she dumped him before their senior prom. Now, six years later, he learns the truth behind why she left him. Can he forgive her for the past and give her a chance for the future once her divorce is final, or will he help find her missing daughter and leave Felicia behind?

Second Chances: A Love Anthology is available exclusively on Amazon, and you can read it for free with Kindle Unlimited.

Remember Covered, my new adult romance novella that released in the middle of October? Well, if that wasn’t exciting enough, it became on audiobook on December 29! The narrator, Jennifer Gilmour, did an amazing job. I can’t tell you how awesome it was to hear my words come to life. There may have been some happy dancing, jumping around, and cheering. 😉

Lacey Daniels wants a normal life where she can go to dinner or the mall without constantly looking over her shoulder. Unfortunately, her abusive father is out of prison and more dangerous than ever. The Hawthorne Guardians, a local motorcycle club that protected her as a child, is her only hope for normalcy. Some of the faces have changed, but the credo is the same: protect the innocent. One Guardian, Ratchet, takes an interest in more than her safety. He wants her heart.

Despite her growing feelings for Ratchet, Lacey can’t escape the threat her father poses. With him free and seeking revenge, she will never be safe. Her only chance for a normal life — and maybe true love — lies with Ratchet, a man who is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her father from hurting her again… even if it means risking his life to save her.

The ebook is available from Amazon and many other retailers. The audiobook (squee!) is available from Amazon and Audible.
